Antique one-of-a-kind wooden beggars box vessel from India. Featuring a unique purse-shaped wooden design with a metal handle and a small hidden opening on the top. These vessels are known as “beggers boxes” and were used by people in the streets collecting money to hold their coins and other valuables. These vessels are named after the ancient Hindu God of Preservation – a well-known symbol of protection, patience, and knowledge.
